Qualifications

My approach

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

The interaction of our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors create our experience. Here we use evidence-based practices to challenge our way of thinking, act in alignment, and feel our best.

  • Psychodynamic

Understanding the impact of how our childhood and unresolved conflicts contribute to present day issues. Here we will build our awareness of our unconscious patterns to learn a new pattern of relating.

  • Gottman

A couple’s therapy approach focused on communication patterns. Couples will learn communication errors contributing to conflict, misunderstanding, and stagnancy in their relationship.

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

Sometimes, talk therapy isn’t quite getting us the results we want. Here we use bilateral stimulation to build coping skills, reduce the impact of traumatic events, and get unstuck.

outside the Therapy Room

When I’m not in the therapy room, you’ll usually find me chasing one adventure or another. I love competitive ballroom dancing, archery, horseback riding, most things involving sports or cars, cooking, and just about any creative project I can get my hands on. I’m equally happy spending an evening at Movies in the Park, at a rock concert, soaking up the sun at the beach in the summer, or searching Los Angeles for anything that remotely resembles a winter wonderland once the weather cools down.

Giving back to my community is something that’s deeply important to me, and I love finding opportunities to volunteer my time and skills for causes close to my heart. When life slows down a bit, you’ll usually find me curled up with a good book, watching something from my carefully curated watchlist, or spending quality time with the people I love most. My community is one of the greatest gifts in my life, and I feel incredibly grateful for the family and friends who keep me grounded.

As a proud, mixed-race Angeleno, I grew up surrounded by an incredible variety of cultures and cuisines, which means I’m always excited to try new foods. I also have yet to meet a cup of tea, a taco, or a shade of red lipstick I didn’t like… and I’m not convinced I ever will.
